Hello, My name is Miki Tesh and I have been teaching counseling courses and counseling children, adolescents, adults and families for over 15 years. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Ph.D. in social work from the University of Texas at Austin. I teach practice courses at the University of Texas at Austin and Our Lady of the Lakes University.

I have experience in a variety of areas, including working with children and families to reduce child, adolescent and adult anxiety and depression, using evidence-based methods that focus on client centered, strengths based counseling to reinforce human resilience.

My experience is in the area of trauma, loss, working in diverse communities, and using diverse methods, while also being flexible for the person or family’s unique needs. It is my goal that each person end up having positive experience, and walk away with something that is useful for their personal growth.
